Today while driving to work my ABS and Brake warning indicator lights came on. The brakes are working fine, but its got me worried. Does anyone know what the problem could be or why the lights came on? Thanks in advance for all the help.

Have you checked your brake fluid level? Sometimes as the pads wear the brake fluid level will get low enough to set off the lights.

If it is not something simple it could be a sensor gone bad. Search for "abs' on the gereral board and read what others have done to solve the problem.

I did check both boards and got some good suggestions. I'll try the fluid first and then look at the sensors. Thanks everyone for the help.

Check the fuses under the dash. On my 91 Dak if you pull the fuse for the ?buzzer? (I think, it has been awhile) it will kill the buzzer but will also cause the ABS and Brake light to come on.

If your speedometer is also wonky below 30mph ,then its your speed sensor in the rear.

Yeah, my speedo is wacky. Only starts working until I hit 22 or 23 mph. When I slow down below that, the needle drops to zero.

Does anyone know how to pull the codes from the ABS computer?

Thanks

you need a DRB II scanner. The dealer or a certified Dodge mech should have one.

Your listed problem with speedo under 20mph at abs and brake lt on is usually the rear sensor. The Tranny sensor usually is bad if you have over 40 mph problems and lt comes on.

This is generally the problem but not always a cheap easy fix if it is.

Never late for a Tee time or wheelin with my buddies! Always ready for both!!!
