Subject: water bypass hose IP: Logged
Message: Changed the water pump in my dakota (That clutch fan was a nightmare). Unfortunately, I think I screwed the water bypass hose. Anyone have any tips to share about changed the bypass hose? It looks like I'll have to remove the A/C compressor and I'm not looking forward to it. Thanks much

Message: A/C and braket they real hide that hose and its
a pain to replace it.
The clutch fan simply unscrews from the pump shaft
and the pully remains because its presed on

Message: With the AC barcket off, you can get to the hose. You can attach the pump end and bend the hose in the middle with a screwdriver to clear the manifold end and slip it on. Good luck.

Message: Thanks much, I ended up taking the AC, and whole bracket assembly off. It was a piece of cake with all that pesky engine stuff out of the way. :) 'preciate the replies.
