Subject: Valve Cover Leaks?
IP: Logged

Message:
Some guy at a service station told me that my type of Dodge truck ('96 3.9L) has a habit of leaky valve cover gaskets, which can allow oil to drip onto the headers and start a fire.

Anyone hear of this sort of problem?

Check and be sure there tight, if they are and
still leak you need to replace them.

Around $27 for new ones.

If they were leaking that bad you would see smoke
rolling out from under the hood when you shut it
of hot and you would smell it.
