Subject: Blown Head gasket. . .What Next???

Hello,
Have a 97 Dakota with the V6. Determined I have a blown head gasket. A hole in the waterpump near the heater hoses sprayed out all my water while on the freeway. Ovrheating the engine, and heard an audible pop, then lots of blue smoke. Coasted to a gas station (approx 1 mile away). Engine ran by itself with battery disconnected, key off for a few minutes when the problem occured, making a loud racket and dancing in the engine compartment violently. Tried putting water in it while it was running, but lost it as quickly as I was putting it in out the tailpipe of white smoke.
Tested at home cranking the engine with spark plugs out, and water poured out the sparkplug holes. Took off the heads and there is good amount of water in 5 of the 6 cylinders. 2 of the pistons have small dents from a valve hitting them. Upon visual inspection, don't see anycracks or anything else unusual. Sending my heads to be magnafluxed today and possibly planed. Will also be dropping the pan to see if the bearings are doing ok. There is no mix of chocolate milk (water & oil).
Is there anything else I should be concerned about? Especially concerned with the valve marks. Anything traditionally a problem with these engines. All reponses welcome. Thanks for any help you may give.

On further inspection, and I don't know how I missed this before, there is a 1.5 "square" hole in piston #2, the skirt broke off and the rod banged a hole in it from the bottom, also causing a valve to make a dent.
