Message: No only if you run a hotter after market coil,
With the 40,000 plus volts and multi spark they
eat caps
Dodge says there system is 20 25,000 volts
about half, my msd box and ss blaster coil
will peak at 42,000 on the old dynavision
scope. Old testing machine
I would go to a solid brass incert cap they will
trasfer more voltage than alm.
Napa MO26 and MO28 same as borge warrner sold
as echilne part at napa for $15
Your stock wires will also be fine unless you
drop a hotter coil on.
Take a look at your plugs you may need to adjust
your gap to get a nice tan color the hotter spark
will need a slightly bigger gap to run the plug
at the right temp for good combustion .003 .005
once you get a light tan color your where you
need to be.
When they go bad they carbon track and will
misfire across cyls also to ground and create
a mis backfire, all kinds of neat stuff
