fit a 1996 3.9 liter Dakota? I know the 1996 is considered a Gen 2, but will the headers fit?

mopar does list in a few of the books a set of headers for the 1996 v6 dakota. However, these headers were never produced. Mopar seems to release alot of part numbers then never actually make a product to go with them.

I mis-stated my question.
Will GEN 1 V6 headers fit the GEN 2 Dakotas. In other words, the headers listed in the book say through 1990. Is there a reason they won't fit on a 1996? Has anyone actually used the earlier headers on a later truck?

port pattern/spacing is the same, but you might want to check out the bolt pattern as sometime when a major change like what was done to the Magnum heads vs. the original heads sometimes they like to change everything to both confuse the issue and to just plain make it hard to put old to new.
