Message: http://www.socaldakota.com/ he's a member here not sure if he has any at the moment ,but wouldn't hurt to ask him.Check local Auto supply stores.I went to the local parts store and they said I could get a 2000 318 TB that had been reconditioned for $185CDN plus a $25 core charge ,oretty good deal since I was expecting to pay about $125CDN from a junkyard. The guy behind the counter at LORDCO pulled a figure of about $300 out of the air,I'm sure it would have been cheaper if he had taken the time to look in his catalogues.

Message: Forgot to add ,I had a hard time convincing the Parts Guys that a 96 or newer 318 TB would work on a '03 V6.You may want to take some documentation to back up your idea.Even the DC parts guy looked at me odd when I mentioned ,my next mod was going to be a V8 TB,but he did eventually agree that it would work and wouldn't void the warranty.

Message: Thanks wg34. So I could go to my local dodge dealer and pick up a V8 TB? I believe for me i would have to get a 318 TB off of a 92-95 right? And what size is the 318 TB like 46..48mm? Another thing is does anyone know what approximately this would cost for the right year? Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If you going to buy a v8 tb and its not going to be a F&B tb just get one off of www.car-parts.com I bought mine for $60 shipped to me. It had sensors on it but I add my factory sensors. Well you if you wanna waste some of your mod money just buy one from Dodge for $280-$350 of your hard earned money. In fact here is a query from www.car-parts.com

Message: akaproph,
The V8TB I saw at the link you provided in Canadian $$$ weren't any cheaper than what I can get a RECONDITIONED one for once you consider exchange and shipping.I would much rather buy something I could return to a walk in location if I ran into probs with it.
93dakota,
Wouldn't recommend DC as a source they'll charge top $$,check a local autoparts store or Chain autoparts store.

Message: So what ur saying is that i should go to my local dodge dealer and get a 92-95 318 TB? But this would cost so much more then car parts and i personally dont want to spend a whole lot. Another thing is that the 318 is a 50mm or a 48mm? If its a 50 then that would be to big for my 3.9 and i would loose low end right? Im all confused because i got 2 different people telling me 2 different things. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Message: Not a DC dealer, an Autozone,NAPA,PEP BOYS etc...I can get a reconditioned one for approx $200CDN incl. core charge,I'd pay about $150 from a junkyard (the carparts sites are junkyards) and your never sure exactly what your getting IMO.It can't hurt to ask local partstores you might be able to find a good deal.

Message: http://a1computech.com/socaldak/prod05.htm
lists 92-93 for $101 incl shipping, but like I said you have to call for availability.Very reputable and you can pay by PAYPAL.I would prefer to buy local ,where I can return it if there are problems.Socaldak knows his stuff and will by able to help with any questions you may have.
