I know on my 99 that the wire plug going to each fuel injector is number to the cylinder...hope that helps

The cylinder numbers are as follows
From the front of the truck, on the drivers side
it is 1-3-5 on the passanger side 2-4-6
2-4-6 passenger side
1-3-5 driver side

I have a 97 dakota 3.9 when I start cold it runs great after it warms up it starts to miss at low rpms but if I floor it it goes right up sometimes it runs good sometimes it does not. I put on computer and it said misfire cylinder two something with ignition and cranckshaft or camshaft adjust sensor bead. I do not no where to start I did put a new plug in 2nd cylinder ran great for 2 hours then started to act up again.

Check your ignition wire resistance and look at your cap,looks good go to your injector measure resistance there general 10 to 20 ohms and wires should min. 3000 ohms per ft max. 12,000 ohms per foot, your cap look for corrsion, flashover tracks but theres other possiblities to cause misfires as well this is a good starting point . Good luck
