need help on the way home with my 2002 dodge dakota truck my head lights started turning on and off and a chirping noise came on. it didnt stop until i turned off the lights and now they wont come back on. my son was playing with the keyless remote in the parking lot prior to this please help

You might want to try changing the bulbs. I'm not sure but that chirping noise might be some kind of warning, telling you that there is a problem with the lights. It's fairly inexpensive to replace bulbs. But like I said, I'm not sure just my $.02

Not sure if this will help but my Grand cherokee did this and it was a Bad relay. It was under the dash on the passenger side. Mine didnt seem to do it unless the lights were set on automatic.
