Subject: need help, stalling on start up IP: Logged
Message: hey guys, 97 dakota 3.9 stalls on start up but if you hold the rpm at 800 as if it idling on its own and put it gear drive 2 feet and put in park again it will idle fine, i bought new plugs for it today autolite 3923s the pack says i have to set the gap. do i? how?

Message: gap the plugs. although i don't think they are the prob. the IAC may be the culprit. check www.speedtweaks.com. Tips & Tricks section.
How to clean IAC solenoid. Lots of other info there also.

Message: Umm I think it says the gap you need on the underside of your hood on this neat lil white sticker. Then go to the parts store and get a gaping guage... Its pretty simple to gap plugs. "jets bend"
