Here is my problem. I live in Montana. The first 3 weeks in August, I took a trip to Missouri and back (3,000 miles). Not one hiccup out of my truck. Seven days ago, my gaslight came on and I decided to treat my truck to some premium gasoline. The very next day I started having trouble with my truck. From a morning start-up, it was rough. She was
gurgling and spitting. When I would come to a stop and then accelerate, she sputtered, gurgled, popped, and bucked like there was no tomorrow. I thought she was going to die right one the spot. No warning lights come on in my truck. I siphoned the premium stuff out, poured some Chevron fuel injection cleaner, and topped off the tank.

I did all that 3 days ago. She is still sick. What else could it be?

Try looking at the plug wires, distributor, and ignition rotor. My old one did the same thing, had to replace the wires (I burned one up). If not, try to locate a diagnostic tool, do not take it to the dealer unless it is under warrenty!!! They have this tendancy to reset the computer back to stock so you loose all your "learned" information.

You could check your fuel pump to see if it is working properly. Your fuel filter might even be clogged.

Good call on the fuel filter and pump, you might also want to check your injectors, sometimes they will be so clogged that the cleaner will not help. Go ahead and take them out and check. While you are in there check the cylinders for scaring just in case.....If the check engine light is not on then it probbly is not a sensor gone bad.

just put a fuel pressure tester on your fuel rail and test the pressure at idle and WOT. Get a haynes manual or shop manual and compare notes.

One problem with the pump is that the screen can get clogged really easily. Just check your pressure before you start removing tanks and stuff.

DARKMAN,

Have you figured it out yet? Being that you said that this happened after you filled it up after your gas light came on it's probably one of 4 things. you might have have clogged your fuel filter. If not, you might have clogged your pump. If that's not it, you might have clogged your injectors. If it made it past all of that, you might have fawled (excuse spelling if that's wrong) a spark plug or 2 or more. All of these are easy fixes, so if it is one of these, your West Nile will be cured in no time. Hope this helps along with what was already mentioned.

I don't know, but something similar had happened to me?
Was the gas station you want to your regular station? cause it sounds to me like you may have some water in your gas. Some gas staion owner's are greedy and top up there tanks with some water(usually happens with the local no name stations).
