last night i spanked a del sol on my local blvd.
it is a small local rivalry but he can't touch me in low to mid range but he won't top untill around 220km which is where i pretty much drop off too.
97 3.9
intake , iat relocated, exhaust, jet stage II, v8 throttle body going on next week.

if he beat it, i can tell you right now it wasnt a SI vTech... but maybe just the SI
My wife had a Delsol SI (120ish hp.. sohc) and my truck would spank it all over the place... even before half of the mods were done. But it was a fun little car to drive.

they only came with 1.6's rated from 110 hp to 160. The thing that makes em quick is the gearing and the fact they weigh about 1200 lbs less than our trucks.
now i said quick... not fast.

Del Sol "S"
Del Sol "SI"
Del Sol "SI vtec"

it wasn't a vtec but he drives it like it is, it has lots of top end , he spanked my buddy with a contour svt on the highway but the svt had plugged pre-cats and topped at 180km, he has it fixed now but the del sol won't race him any more, i also have acustomer with 2001 vr6 i sold him a neuspeed intake and a bossal cat-back and the the vr6 spanked the del sol on the highway.
