Subject: Rear brake noise '93 Dak IP: Logged
Message: I get a loud "broken up" squeal from the back brakes every time I brake. I have had shoes completely replaced, rear drums replaced twice, new emergency brake cables (back brakes were sticking), and have had rear brakes adjusted and/or cleaned about 10 times. Works ok for a few days then comes back. Was told that the "Mitchell's" software says 93 Daks need a "weight kit" wich I can't find anywhere (noone knows what I am talking about). Any ideas on what I can do... it's embarrasing when I am driving down my street and pulling into my driveway when all the neighbors can hear.

Message: If my memory is correct The weight kit is for the Drum not the Brakes themselves but what you might want to do is try another brand of pad and see if it goes away JM2CW

Message: Actually, the weight kit/balance kit is meant to be drilled/screwed on the brake plates. I had this kit in my possesion once but returned it. Anyone know the part number?
