Subject: Dumb question IP: Logged
Message: Hello all, First time poster.
I am trying to order the right size tonneau cover for my 2000 Dakota. I know this sounds dumb but I can't seem to determine the correct model to reference. I measured the truck bed and it's 5' 3" wide by 6' 10" long. I believe I need one for a club cab (I do have a bench seat behind the two front seats).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Message: Rick
There are 3 bed sizes for our trucks.
The long bed only comes on RC trucks.
The short bed only comes on RC & CC trucks.
The 3rd size is the QuadCab it has a bed shorter than the RC/CC short bed.
When I was looking for mine most of the specs. would say...FOR SHORT BED BUT NOT FOR QC(QuadCab)
That's what you want for your ClubCab

Message: Rick, just go to your tonneau cover dealer and tell them that you have a club cab and they will order the right size cover for you. I have a club cab and my wife has a quad cab and we both got our covers from the same place and they were the correct size. The only thing that I did was make sure that they ordered my wifes' cover as a quad cab. They don't make a long bed (8') dakota anymore.
