As far as the miss at a stop light, just turn up your stereo and you won't hear it.
Or if you don't want to do that it could be bad plug wires or the plugs need changed.
If the plug wires are old the spark can jump from
wire to wire or ground.
The 1st car I ever drove was a Maverick, one day me and some buddies where getting ready to go see Van Halen in concert and the car started to miss, well I opened the hood and you could see the spark plug wires lighting up like a Christmas tree.
We hurried up and changed them using the ones off my dads tractor.
I forget how many beers that took.

You guys must be really old...whats a Van Halen. Just kidding. I'm gearing up to do my whole ignition system from the rotor all the way to the plugs. Can someone refresh my memory as to what Autolite plugs are recommended? I'm planning to go one heat range cooler than what the "book" calls for. It seems that I have a small preignition problem. I may have got some bad gas because a half tank of 93 octane made the problem go away but the fact remains that I still have about 100,000 miles on the plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

Ok..well....Larry its a 99 62K..yes it was there before..i figured thats what was wrong...But i found out the hard way...While doing a poker rally on sunday..the truck shut off pulling into a parking lot..it did this once before ..and i had found that the coil wire was off of the coil...figured it did it again...but no...so some guys from my club looked under the hood while i cranked it..they said it was arking across the top of the coil...so pulled out the electrical tape..and wrapped the boot and a lil up the wire....cranked and still no fire..my buddy took my coil wire to his car....no start...so had to find a auto parts store..and buy a wire set.cause they didnt sell just a coil wire...got back to the truck..and fired right up...no miss...runs good...but now my brake and abs lights are on...figure i just gotta reset the computer

I have seen that happen with the MSD's and stock
wires the coil wire seams like the first one that
goes.

You should have gotten a set of MSD 8.5 Super
Conductor wires and been done with it. They are
only like $60 and will outlast the truck, maybe
even the owner

Ok...seems like ive started digging into my right front rotor..soo off to the dealer for a brake job...$352 for new brakes, rotors(warped),and rear clean and adjust...sound fair???...soo im figuring that this is why my brake light and abs lights are on...so the dealership calls me and asked if i knew they were on when it came in...i said yes and i figured that it was because the brakes were low...causing low fluid or something..he said...yea we thought that too..but that doesnt seem to be the problem...too late in the day to hook it up to see the codes, plus its an extra charge....wtf!!! i said forget it ill try resetting the computer myself...on the way home im noticing that the speedometer will stay on 0 till about 30 mph..then all the sudden jump up and work.Is this a bad speed sensor or something??
Ohh and larry..are those msd wires cut to fit(make your own), or are they made for the V6's??

Thanks guys
Jeff

Just put the MSD8.5s on my '03 Dak V6 the part# is 32969 for a Dodge V6.

As for the Speedo seems like I've seen posts on one the dodge forums I frequent about the wonky speedo and the ABS fuse being the cause.I do a quick search and see if I can find it.
