Subject: flowmaster 40 or 50 IP: Logged
Message: was wondering if you guys can help. I want to upgrade my exhaust but can't decide if i want the 40 or 50 series. I don't want it to sound foreign. I want a nice sound just better than factory along with a little bit of performance. i thing the 40 might be too loud! I'm going with single in single out. was gonna go with duals till i heard a 3.9 with them. did not like it!! Also will it really help with performance or is it overated. I plan on doing cold air intake as well. I did that earlier but don't have exhuast and it really didn't help but i think if i do them both it will help. Anyone with the flowmaster, which mounting application should i get, they have them with the flanges both in the middle, they have them with the inlet on the left and the outlet on the right and vice versa, its confusing. any info would be greatly appreciated.

Message: A lot of guys like the 50
offset outlet
Once you get the intake side done they help more
all you will really notice is a better sound from
just adding the muff and once you do the cold air
you usualy get a little better mileage

Message: thanks guys, so when you say offset you mean both the inlet and outlet to the left or right of center correct? will i change anything if i get rid of the bend where the factory exits and run it out under the bumper kind of in that area? i hate seeing the exhaust pipe sticking out like it does when you are behind the truck. thanks again
