Message: My 4x4 Quadcab is a bit slow off the line, but it hasn't stalled. Sounds like something is wrong. Has it done that from the start?

Message: i have close to 11k miles and no problems with stalling , it idles a rough when cold but has never stalled. I think i would take it to a differant DC dealer. The warrenty is good at all DC dealerships you don't have to take it to where you brought it.

Message: My name is Brian Hoelscher, I too recently bought a 2003 Dodge Dakota 4x4. I have manual transmission, no fancy bells and whistles by any means. However I happen to find this website, and I saw you question about the stalling. I have been having the same problem with my truck. I have noticed it has only done it to me outside my apartment, when I come from a complete stop, and pull out into traffic. When I do pull out, it doesn't stall out completely, but has absolutely no power, like it is almost out of gas. Then suddenly it like kicks in, and away I go. It has happened to me several times, and I have had it into the Dealer 2 times now, and they are not able to re-create the problem, or find any problem, acoording to the computer. I am about to contact Dodge with this problem. I am very interested in hearing more about your proble, perhaps we can help each other, in resolving this problem.

Message: 2003 Quad with 3.9 auto trans here. I have a warm engine hesitation after driving the truck and parking it for 1/2 hour or so. When I start moving forward it hesitates and then runs normally. Yesterday it did the same thing so I tried giving it more gas when it hesitated which caused it to backfire, or at least that's what it sounded like.

Message: http://www.speedtweaks.ca/tipsandtricks.php#TPS_Mod
Don't do the mod I just want you to take a look
because you are under warantee, or if its low
get a new one $29 autozone and mod it than if
you need to take your truck in just change to the
origanal
Just for the hell of it check this voltage and
tell me what you get.
A low tps voltage will cause an off idle
hesitation
midle wire + and a good ground, just turn the key
on but don't start and take a reading.
I just wonder about all these 03's doing this

Message: I've been dealing with the same hesitation problem. Mine is not related to the TPS voltage as it measured .83 when I tested it.

Message: i have a 2002 3.9. mine has never stalled yet but if i have the ac or defrost on and come to a stop it feels like it is gonna crap out. do any of you guys have a problem around 2400 rpms? i know i saw a couple posts on here some time back with people having this problem. you accelerate and right at about 2400 rpms its like someones kills the engine and then it comes back, happens real quick but very noticeable. Dealer said it was a programming glitch and not repairable. thats really nice!!!
