Subject: question for Larry IP: Logged
Message: Im not sure if you would know or not... how are the gains with a 48mm tb compared to a modified 46mm (something i could do myself). I would like to save as much $ as possible but i need the power more.

Message: Not much at all just a little more torque with
the 48mm F&B if your are like me and want every
penny you can get out of the V6 yes.
Just be sure you have a 46mm they came with
anything between 42mm to 46mm before you start
moding the body
46mm is 1.810 just a little bigger than 1 3/4

Message: Real Dyno's
The F&B showed 2 more hp and 5 foot pounds of
torque and a little better response
The V8 bodies show about 15 hp on a stock setup
Fastman 16 on stock
F&B 18 on stock set up.
the 46mm fastman and the F&B are the best way to
go because the V8 body will lose a little low end
Not all trucks will be the same but close

Message: 1.8125 or better known as 1 13/16 is a mere .0025 bigger then 1.810. How much does that translate too? Literally a fine hair as the average human hair is only .003 dia. The difference between 1 3/4 and 1.81 is very close to 1/16 or .0625, quite a bit wouldn't you say, as a comparasion to .0025?
