Does anyone know if you bore a 3.9 .20 over (from the stock bore of 3.8" to 4.0") if a 360 piston would work? I know the bore would be the same but is the wrist pin in the same location ?

Is there no way to edit your posts on this forum?? what I ment was, if you go .020 over, would the 360 piston work but I dont think so. Intensedak39 pointed out that .060 over is maximum for these blocks.

.060 is the standard max... but i have heard that .040 cuts it on magnum blocks. But some engines like the 225 can go up to .10

You must have a desk job, like me. LOL. I think when I pull this motor out, I'll just drop it off at M&R and tell him to go .020 to .040 over and get me a set of pistons that fit the hole. I was going to get pistons before I took it to him but I guess thats kinda like bringing your own steak to a resturaunt.

Hey Tim

Do you plan on rebuilding a V6, you can get the
Ross light wait pistons or Keith Black can make
you a set of 10 to 1 same as 318 same rist pin
just pop them in, std or .030 over you can go
.060, over on some V6 blocks depending on how
good the block casting is but you will be very
thin between the bore and the water jacket

The only thing is if you do be sure to get the
assy balanced.

Yea, I'm going to pull it out after racing season is over and make it the winter project.
Im trying to figure out what I can do to build it a little and still pass California emissions.

Tim,

The best thing to do is first check the bore,
when I pulled mine down at 80,000 to install the
stroker crank and pistons the worst wear I found
was .0015 under, if you find anything over .003
I would give a lot of consideration to boring .030
over.

Changing the comp ratio from 9.2 to 10 will not
even be noticeable on your emissions, they are
controlled by what the computer does and how
well the cat is working.

Even changing the cam will not effect it much
because the computer will still try to maintain
the 14.7 air fuel ratio.

I have been testing a system on my truck for about
a month now and was going to put some pics up just
before all the trouble started here with some ass
trying to get me off the board.

I have not sniffed the exh yet but my mileage has
gone up from 1.5 to 2.3 mpg and it also has added
some low end to my truck.

It is also supposed to help lower emissions.

I will get my test results up probably next week
sometime and reveal the system to everyone so
they can make up there own mind if they want to
try it on there trucks.

There will also be a discounted price for the
system if when anyone orders it mentions me or
J&J Auto you will get a better price.

No I do not get a kick back or paid anything from
the company. after a lot of research I decided to
test it for myself and it does do what they claim.
