V8 good
fastman better
F&B best
Yes you will notice about 15 hp average gain at
the rear wheels.
1.7 RR's around a 18hp gain accros the entire rpm
range starting about 1800
These are 2 of the best mods you can do to a V6
Both of them will help gas milage the RR's help
a lot. as long as you drive the same and not
flooring it playing with the extra hp and torque

Message: About the 1.7 RRs, is it necessary to install new guide plates, studs, and longer push rods?

Message: With the Crower, below 5500 rpm, you can run the standard kit (known as a rail rocker, has guide on the tip that keep it on the valve stem).
I ran that kit for over 44k miles, no problems (and lots of 1/4 mile passes). I upgraded with longer pushrods and guideplates when I did my heads and cam.
They will outlast your truck.

Message: The crower kit comes with the studs and the washer
that goes on with the stud.
Everything you need for the install as sam said
rated for 5500rpm and on a stock motor you
limiter is 4800 so you have nothing to worrie about
Just spray out the holes with carb cleaner or
starting fluid than air and use a drop of blue
locktight on each stud and tighten to 24 foot
pounds.

Message: redman440,
Call Sam than you know your getting the right
parts, No Headackes when you go to install the
V8 Throttle Body
Hey Sam takes the time to look the bodies over so
you know your getting something good, There was
a post on here and I exchanged emails with a guy
that got one with the throttle plate gauged, and
was looking for some 50mm plates, Some bone yards
ya never know what you might get be sure you look
them over.
For your 93 you need a V8 body from a 92 to 95
they had a ported vacume port for the EGR and
96 and up do not.
Sam will get you the right one
