Message: ok, i am running a 180 thermo, and two weeks after i changed it my thermostat housing bolt broke, so i "easy outed" it and put the thermo back in and now a short time after i am noticing my temp guage is low like 150ish but itthe numbers are only 130 and 210 the needle isn't quite half way between (170 i assume) it is quite abit lower,, but my engine light isn't on, i heard that a 160 thermo will trip the code (97 dak,3.9) so is my guage wrong ??? i should probably by an auto meter guage (one with more than three numbers on it) for more accurate monitoring. I am just worried about performance and my gas milage going to crap.
thanx
any thoughts??

Message: It is posible its the thermostat I had a stant
that ran at 160, I was pissed after that I test
them with a thermo to be sure they open when they
are supose to or they go back to the parts store
with some very sweet words for giving me junk.
The factory guages are not that acurate so don't
always trust them, you are proble ok if your
around 170 on your guage.
