v8 headers will fit on a v6, you just have to cut the front primary off one side and the rear off the other side. they will not meet up exactly with the stock y-pipe, but you can have any exhaust shop fix that very cheap, and the flow pattern is the same because a 5.2 and a 3.9 are the exact same engine minus one cylinder. if you dont believe me look at a haynes manual, every spec is the same except for the # of cylinders. performance is greatly enhanced, especially with a supercharger.

Why go to all that trouble when JBA makes headers
for the V6 and they are just a bolt in right to
the exsisting y pipe

because jba headers are hundreds of dollars more than a set of summit shortys 4 a v8, that will bolt right up if you are willing to do a very little amount of cutting and welding

UH-- Gibson shorties for $325 + shipping,

Jba shorties for same price $325+ shipping.

The cut and hack of a V8 header really is a desperate move guys. The welding will kill the finish, and once you 'recoat' the headers you'll be well over the price of a correctly made and coated V6 header.

I sell both of those listed---

If one were to cut the correct primaries off a pair of v8 headers, where will one make the cut and how will they go about closing the remainder of the tube going into the collector? I'd never think of doing anything like this though

i've had the jba headers for years and while they are nice they
don't make that much of a difference such that they are worth
the price they sell for

invest in a v8 you'd be better off

shorty headers really dont make that much of a difference except they clean up the look of your engine compartment and help your engine run cool these are good things! and dont cut up v8 headers give them to me. jba makes a really good header so your gonna pay for it. dont know about summit headers.
