Have a question...
I have a 2001 Dakota Club Cab with the 3.9L V6. In 4/03, I got a check engine light. The dealer found code for evap leak (po442) stating there was a large leak and found the purge soleniod line was cracked. Repairs were made (under warranty - mileage 17,453).
Then, in 8/03, I got light again. Dealer replaced evap hose, plug wires and #5 plug (again under warranty - mileage 20,764).
All services have been conducted per manual. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this problem is and what I can do to stop it from happening every few months. The dealer is not able to explain it to me.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
