Howdy folks,
Once upon a time I drove a 1993 V6 Dak. Sold it and ended up in a Jeep which my daughter just wrecked. Considering getting another Dakota and looking for info on the trucks. Any particular years, things to look for either as good things or bad things? Basic needs would be a club cab version. 2 or 4 wheel drive but would like limited slip if 2 wd. Possible for $5000 or less?

hey man i don t know much myself but i just bought a 95 dodge dakota myself about 3 months ago. I bought a v6 with 69600 miles on it and i bought it from a dealership (a chevy dealership, go figure) for 5800 dollars. so there is hope i got a smoking deal, only problem is that with an 8 year old truck banks are very heavy on the financing. with my dad as a co signer i could only get approved for a 3 and a half year loan with i think 14 percent interest....ouch so i would recommend either getting a loan from a bank first or just cash, keep looking and good luck.

Hey,
I just bought a '93 Dakota 6 months ago with 140,000 miles... Mine is an LE, 4x4, extended cab with the 3.9 V6. The only big repair that I've had to make is the belly pan gasket (and replacement belly pan). It runs great now. I bought it from an individual for $3700. The only problem is the paint is beginning to peel. That's not a big deal for me since it's an old truck.

ok, i was readin some old posts about GEN 1 dakota after market perfomance parts. if anyone knows anything please let me know. the gen 1 daks are decent. i wish they had the magnum technology bach then, but i have to live with what i've got. mainly i need throttle body info ans jet II computer info. thanks for the help if anyone does.

Get a 92 or newer Dak w/Magnum engine. try to stay away from Gen I, beginning to be too hard to find parts for.
Hey 93Dak, I HAD the same truck, it was dark green & it was my baby. One of our local thieves decided they wanted it more than I did.
Just wait until I see my truck driving down the road........
