Subject: Oil Sender Removal IP: Logged
Message: How ?!
I finally found it, next to the distributor, not behind it.
After moving some of the spark plug wires and the vapor 'ball', I tried reaching in there with pliers, vise-grips, and a couple of random wrenchs, not knowing what size I needed.
The pliers were too long, couldn't get a good hold because I had to hold them at an angle seeing as the sender is so close to the firewall and the same went with the wrenchs and vise-grips.
I then found a smaller vise-grip that fit a bit better, still had to angle it but not as much, got it locked on and then pulled, from the passenger side, as hard as I could, but the sensor never moved.
My guess, or hope, is that there is a special socket that'll fit perfect, either that or I'm doing it all wrong.
Help !

Message: After unplugging it, I used a 1 1/16 deep weld socket (1/2 drive), barely deep enough for it. Good luck.

Message: Well I might not have to now.
I just changed the oil, knowing it wouldn't hurt, and it seems to be fine now, back to normal.
I'm guessing the Fram got clogged or something.
Oh well ...
