Subject: Where to place exhaust out?
IP: Logged

Message:
Ok, I am about to remove the dual exhaust that I have since and add a dynomax. So where should the new exhaust run out to? I don't want a plane jane out of the side but a single from the rear would look weird also. Can anyone make a suggestion or have a photo or two of a cool single out location?

Thanks in advance

if your truck isn't lowered you could run it out the side in front of the tire...running it out the stock location can look cool if you have a nice tip or bigger exhaust.

I have my duals running out off of the corners with 3 1/2 in tips, it looks cool and gives just a bit more sound in the cab, especially in between buildings.

If you're going to install the Dynomax, then dump it in front of the axle. It sounds like a v-8 and makes for a really clean look around back.

NO EXHAUST!

i have flowmaster dumped also...does sound pretty wicked but around 40-50mph it is kinda annoying in the cab...but cruising around 60-75 is okay...don't hear a thing...if i could have a tail pipe i would...they can sound a lot cooler...i use to have a dynomax racing bullet (straight true muffler about 1.5 feet long) and a single tail pipe that split into two at the very end...i had it run under the center of my truck under the license plate like on a viper...sounded really good! my ladder bar set up won't let me have a tailpipe, though.:(

Great ideas... Well I found a place here in Town, Austin, TX that can get me into a MegaFlow with Dual out all the parts with tips installed for $200.00 so I guess I will go back to dual out... I know I can't make up my mind but this sounds like a good deal.

Thanks again
