Subject: Which FMS 19lb injectors to use? IP: Logged
Message: I need a some fuel injector help. I am rebuilding (again) my 1992 3.9L Magnum engine and want to replace the stock injectors with 188k miles on them.
I have read some old posts and the 19lb FMS injectors seem to be what is recommended. There seem to be different versions of this injector. Does anyone have any experience with installing the M9593C302 19lb injectors offered by Jegs/Summit on an early Magnum? By "early" I mean a 92/93 fuel system that (according to the Chilton manual) operates at 14.5 PSIG as opposed to a 94 and later system that operates at 35-45 PSIG. I am also concerned about the electrical characteristics of the M9593C302 units. I can't find any technical information on these. Does anyone know if they meet the 13.3 - 15.7 ohm spec?
Fiveomotorsports has some Bosch units that do but
I want to know if the M9593C302 do also.
Thanks.

Call and talk to Bruce, He's the man! I got the green 19lb's with the 4-shot spray. $189 shipped to my door. Can't wait to get my project engine rolling to try them out.

Message: 13 to 14.5 psi is the presure for a throttle body
injection
Multiport on the mopars run 45 to 49 psi and if
you have 6 injectors and try to run them on 13lbs
it will barley run.
You can use the design 2 or 3 FMS injectors on the

Message: Well, I guess the reason I was looking at getting the FMS units from Jegs was because I was about to buy a bunch of stuff from them anyway and, if the injectors met the same spec as those offered by fiveomotorsport, why not get 8 from Jegs for the price of six from fiveomotorsport. But, I guess I don't HAVE to have 2 extra injectors since the ones Bruce has are blueprinted and guaranteed (I hope).
So I shall call and order the ones I can verify are correct. Everyone else seems to have had pretty good luck with those.
THANKS!
