Subject: What about yours? IP: Logged
Message: 93 2wd 3.9 LE. 126,000 miles on it. Replaced the muffler (walker), shocks (Gabriel gas ryder LT's) timing chain, water pump, fuel pump w/ sending unit, connections in starter, blower resistor, idler arm, tie rods, and the radiator. Was just wondering what all you other guys have done to your gen 2 truck and how many miles it has?

Message: I just bought my 1991, long bed 5-speed V-6 w/ 113,000 miles in Feb. and replaced/fixed the following: New radiator, blower resister, oil pressure sending unit, power steering rack, brake master cylinder, A/C 134a conversion kit, all belts and hoses. The gas gauge sending unit is messed up, bounces all over the place till I'm down to about 1/4 tank and the back up lamps don't work, I think the sensor hooked into the tranny is shot, fuse and wiring look OK. The exhaust rattles but for $2,000 what do you expect? Runs great, looks good (no rust or paint loss) and was cheap. Hopefully I won't have to put much more money in it for a while.

Message: 155000+ and still going. Replaced the tranny at 33000 due to a broken OD gear. No problem since. Replaced all the rockers, rocker arm shafts and push rods. Removed the airintake restrictor in the grill for better air flow. K&N filter. High flow muffler with dual exhaust out the back. Tonneau cover and bed/tailgate mat for 8" bed. Complete paint job two tone blue factory colors. Removed the cassette player for a CD player. Updated all the speakers. Replaced the front bumper and gril after an accident. The chrome grill does not say Dakota anymore. Installed aftermarket cruise control and alarm system. Installed a dash cluster with RPM tach. Use NGK spark plugs and average ~19-20 MPH at 70-72 MPH. Removed the factory 5 spoke steel rims and replaced them with stock direction aluminum sport wheels.
Need to replace: carpet, recover seat, replace door seals, door sill plates, MAP sensor, need a new wrench for the jack too.

Message: Jay,
yes it is a sport. I have not put a cold air intake on it yet, as time has not allowed me to fab one up.
the best thing to do is to make one. I find that the intake is not that restricting. I would like to get a crowl induction hood, but am worried I will get rain/snow down in there during the winter.
anyway, email me if you want to chat more,
