Message: your timing is adjusted to high, your kicker motor thing might also be adjusted to tight. The kicker motor thing is on the drivers side of the TB, also depending on the year.

Message: Rooster,
If I call Dodge and ask for a new "kicker motor thing" do you think they'll laugh at me? I do...

Message: Rooster, I dont think they would laugh, they would probably be polite and fix it for $200. I would think it would be the IAC.

Message: The "Kicker Motor Thing" is the same as the IAC on the earlier models(maybe on all, im not sure) I cant remember exactly what its called either at the moment
Rooster- How tight should it be? I remember putting it on(wasnt adjusted when i bought it) and i wasnt sure how tight it should be. Didnt even cross my mind that that would be it though. thanks a lot!

Message: The kicker thing OK
Drivers side of TB
If your throttle position sensor is not working
right and telling the computer to high a voltage
it will do that. TPS but every time you step on
it it will do the same thing, don't think that's
your prob.
The other thing it could be is your IAC Idle Air
control selenoid back of TB not reacting fast
enough.
You can remove it and clean it gently with carb
cleaner but do not pull push or twist on it.
either a #20 or #25 torx bit.
You can remove the air cleaner and look down the
small hole behind the 2 big bores and you should
see it move forward when you start the truck if
it moves to slow it will rev until it restricts
the air flow.

Message: 91 is throttle body injection not mutiport that
is a whole differant ball game it has an idle
control motor that does the fast idle not an IAC,
check
all the electrical conections for corosion it
couldbe a temp sensor telling it that its cold
giving you the prob or a bad idle motor reacting
to slow
