 Subject: MSD 8.5mm wires?

With these wires do i need an adapter for them to fit with autolite's. Sorry if this sounds kinda dumb. I saw that these wires are popular, do they really give you 5 HP like performancetruck.com says they will? Are they worth the extra money or should i go with the RED 8mm wires that are cheeper.
any help is appreciated

i have the 8.5mm but i can't tell you if they make a independant difference because i installed a msd6a box and blaster II coil at the same time...the whole thing together does wonders!!

I installed them independently and they did not improve power at all that I could tell but they sure did improve my mileage by over one mile per gallon! They'll fit the plugs; I went to Autolites later myself.
