Message: Ive got a pulley squeeking but im not sure which one. I just replaced the belts 10,000 miles ago. It started up within the last week. I think its the ac compressor or the power steering pump. but i cant tell if its either. anyone know how to tell. its an 87 v6 with ac, 100 amp alternator, power steering, and a new water pump. also can i get a bearing set or do i have to buy a brand new part. Also the oil pressure get higher as the engine gets under load. this might be a whole different matter. but i havent been able to work at it yet. Thanks for any help

Message: Maybe there was dirt or oil on it somewhere and hosing it off corrected it. My friend drips some motor oil on his belt sometimes and he says it cures it, go figure.
I believe the oil pressure thing is normal. As rpm increase so should your oil pressure to a point.

Message: as long as you maintain 10 lb of oil pressure per 1000 rpm, you will be ok, most vehicles have a pressure relief valve in the oiling sytem that will limit the max presuure to, depending on the engine, anywhere from 45 to 60 lbs. so the faster your engine turns so does your pressure until max limited pressure is reached.
