Message: just take it in to any dealership and they will change it for you no questions asked.the problem is that its broken up on the inside and it needs to be changed.so just take it up there and theyll change it for you.

Message: I have the same problem (1999 3.9L V6). I have 71k miles and just had my 2nd Cat converter replaced. It was free. I also have the dreaded Ping issue. I just spent big bucks on a whole tune up, and O2 sensor. They service said the cat burned out due to the O2 sensor....Guess what it is still PINGING!!!! I wonder if the pinging is burning out the CAT. Any Ideas?
