I'm looking for a new intake system - for the V6 the only thing I've found is the AIRAID. Any ideas? If so, how much of a difference in milage and power did you see??? 2001 SLT 3.9L

K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kits are some nice
setups.
Expect a little better throttle response and your
gas milage will go up 1 to 2 mpg as long as you
drive the same way. add a set of 1.7's and a V8
or aftermarket TB and your intake is all set.
After that think about a low restriction muffler
and a set of JBA headers.

When you install 1.7 rockers, do you change the springs? There is no coil bind in the stock set-up?

No the 1.7 crowers are just a bolt on mod and dyno
at 15 to 18 RWHP on a stock set up.
The stock springs and retainers work just fine
All you do is get 1 cyl at a time to TDC and
remove the old rockers, spray out the hole with
carb cleaner than air and put the rocker stud
with washer and a drop of blue locktight and
torque to 24 foot lbs, now install and adjust the
roller unit just untill the push rod is snug
than 3/4 turn.
The roller lifters in these trucks need a .050
.060 pre load on them.
You also need to knock back the baffles in the
covers to clear the new studs, no biggie
A easy mod for the gains you get very noticable

I had the Intense Performance Stage II with 7" Big Mouth filter on my 2002 Dakota 3.9 and really liked it, the intake is also decently priced.
