Subject: Reverse Grinds IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 Dak (Manual). It sometimes grinds when I trow it in reverse. Anyone know what the problem might be?? It only happens in reverse.

Message: mine does that to i have a 96 5 speed and i found that if i stop completly and hold in the clutch then put it in first then go to reverse it doesnt grind.i think its just something with dodges cause my dad had a 5speed dakota before me and that one was a bitch to get into reverse ever now and then to

Message: Is it a gridding or more like a whine....Have you checked or change diff fluid? If not, your diff fluid could be burned causing some $$$ problems down the road...

Message: No it only grinds when I'm trying to put it into reverse. It's a slight grind. Like the synchros would be bad or something.
