Message: I took my cat off my 92 and am running a 70 series flowmaster with no problems. This has to be one of the stupidest threads ever!! Catalytic converters are taken off vehicles all the time! You just can't go overboard and run true straight pipe all the way back.

Message: How about this, not to completely step away from the subject. What if i went with dual 2 1/2 with an X-pipe and 2 dynomax mufflers in an 89 dakota, would that be too much flow?

Message: Yeah, if you get caught, there is a fine, as well as one for removing the catcon (that's $2,500 and a felony!). So if you take the chance, don't cry if you get caught.
