Mine does the exact same thing. I like it cause all the ricers that don't know a thing about engines (or any thing else), come up to my truck and say things like "Dude you put a new cam in ure truck, that sounds awesome" (note he doesn't say any thing about H.P. or if it lowered 1/4 times, typicall ricer, all show and sound, no go) or here is my favorite that I heard only once "My friends S-2000 sounds like that do you have v-tec too?"
I can't stand ricers.

Message: Banks, I have a 92 that does the same. I cleaned the IAC and put a cleaned V8 TB on and it made it alittle better. So clean the TB and IAC and it should help. Mine still does it. I want my truck to run perfectly, but instead of getting a headache about it I just accept it and enjoy the first minute of warm up. I love it, it feels like the Dak is bad azz and has gobs of power, and all the ignorant will gawk at the monstrous sound they hear. Just dont put it in gear just yet, cause if its like mine it'll barely move while its "camming" in the morning. But like dakman said, if you're a ricer then its all show no go! So let em hear it.
Also, while its warming up and loping and I drive away it'll start to pull, then when it shifts you can feel the power just disappear. I dont think it'll hurt anything, so you can just call it character.

Message: Lemme explain again...and try to slow down.
I told my father the truck has a rough idle and he looked at it and said it either has a potatoe cam in it or it has a rough idle. But he knew..anywayz he said try cleaning ur fuel injectors. STP wont work, neither will alot of other things cause their cheap! He recommended getting a can of 44K...have any of you heard of this? Its about $20-25 a can. This zhit does the trick...im going to get a can of this in a couple of days. But it only seriously cleans the injectors and the fuel lines for anyting and it burns clean as hell. Anywayz if u have any questions just post a topic for me and ill let u know where u can get this 44K at.

Message: I got the fuel injector cleaner from car care clinic. It was called run rite. I noticed no difference in it in both my vehicles. The pour some stuff in the gas tank, in the crankcase, and hook up a can of stuff to the vacuum line so its sucked into the engine. Someone suggested to change the O2 sensor, but I heard it was sixty bucks, so Ill wait for a whle since im going to college and experiencing the broke life.

Message: its not that i race in the truck. it sounds like i have a cylinder misfiring ... maybe two but when it gets warmed up its fine.
Banks
P.S. -- the sound it makes is awesome when its rough like that... no cat converter, 40 series flowmaster (not the delta flow) go figure!

Message: My 2000 does the same thing, has done it since I bought it used. I put a Flowmaster 50 Delta-Flow on mine and it sounds good. That coupled with a cold air system will definately make a difference.
A guy on another board suggested a new O2 sensor, sounds promising, I might try it and see what happens. My old '94 had the same problem, except it would stall in cold weather too.

Message: my 92 does it, and i have tuned it up, cleaned the iac and put on a v8 tb. i have used the 44k stuff and switched to ford injectors and replaced the o2 sensor for a code it set. and it still does the cammy idle.
