i have a 96 3.9. do i wire it to the magnetic pickup or the other way or doesn't it matter. any help would be apprieciated

I would think the magnetic, however you might have to wire to the crank sensor as well so that the ECM will know to give it fuel. I don't see what your gonna gain from an MSN ignition on a 96.
However this is just an idea, I don't know how 96 ignitons work exactly... I own a 91.
