Subject: Ethanol Mixture IP: Logged
Message: I have some 190 proof ethanol (95% alcohol, 5% water)in a 5 gallon container. I was wondering if anybody has used alcohol mixtures to increase octane ratings or if there are any side effects running a mixture through the fuel injectors. I have a 96 5-speed with 22 gallon tank.
Thank you.

Message: One day I was on the north side of Milwaukee and
pulled in to a station and it said on the pump
that it was a ethanol mixture gas.
I filled my truck up with it and drove 200 miles.
It ran good and the gas milage went up 2 mpg.
Never caused any probs wish I could get that gas
up here in northern wisconsin it runs good in
these trucks.
