Message: The way it looks besides a set of JBA headers
an ASE Chip would give you about a 17 hp gain.
I have one they work good, now running a mopar
PCM on my 95

Message: does the chip really give you a 17 hp gain? i got one for my last truck and i didint really notice much other then the fact that i had to spend the extra $ at the pumps because i had to run 93 from then on. what about the 19# injectors from five 0, im looking to buy 2 new parts looking for the most hp here.. so that way i can take the truck out when its all done and start pickin apart hondas and s10's

Message: slow97,
I seen 2 dyno tests with the ASE Chip on a stock
3.9 and 1 gained 17 and 1 was 19 not quite the 21
they advertise but a very respectical gain.
There is also no rev or speed limiter on the ASE's
You should actually get better milage with the
chip installed as long as you keep your foot out
of it.
They run more timing and a better fuel curve so
you have better low end power and less throttle
to get up to speed the motor don't work as hard.

Message: Larry where did you get your ase chip, and do you have a part #. If I can't find a mopar pcm for my 92, I'm thinking about installing one of those chips, or sending out the oem pcm to be flashed. If the ase chip is cheaper, that is the route that I want to go. I definately don't want a rev limmiter or a speed limmiter on my dak anymore.

Message: You can find the ASE Chips here
http://www.asechips.com/
$349 plus shipping
Its about the same price for a flash but they
do not remove the speed limiter with a flash.
