alright its time for my cat to be replaced. its up between a replacement cat and a highflow cat. which would do me better? i hear the highflow cats are a joke but they also cost like $70 compaired to the 230 for a oem. which 1 should i get?? and what spark plugs work best for our motors? and where can i get them

well if you have a 97 model truck and your cat went bad... it should get replaced for free via the dealer... standard 8 year warranty on emissions

i have no clue on where the truck was bought from. i am the 3rd owner. but never the less as a last resort which 1 should i get the truck has 77 thousand on it.

ANY dealer should do it, dodge is paying them for the cat and the labor so they'll do it.

They will replace the cat up to a five year period
at most dealers some will give you a line of bull
but it is waranteed against failure for 5 years

Well its 8 years and a certain amount of miles. I think what slow97 was asking was would you see any performance difference between a hiflow cat a factory cat, or no cat at all?

i figured he was looking for the better deal and figured he would like to spend no money as opposed to $70-230... but i think highflow cats cost more like $100.

im not sure of the warranty on all dodges but my cat went bad and its a 96 and i got it replaced about three weeks ago because it was all busted up on the inside
