Message: If you have a napa near by go there and get there
cap and rotor it is made by Borg Warner and has
the brass incerts
MO28 and MO26 about $15
Wires, I recomend a 8.5mm wire, I run the MSD
super conductor and if you ever plan on getting
an aftermarket Ign or a hotter coil your all set
about $56
and a set of Autolight AP3924 and gap them .005
over stock setting. the 3923 is colder but I have
found untill you have more mods they don't run
as well. If you get any piston ping than go colder
The gates or stant heavy duty 180 themos work just
fine in these trucks, just don't get the real
cheap one they open sooner than they should.

Those MSD wires...are they custom fit set, or build your own? Also, do you happrn to have a Stant part number for the 180 degree stat. for the IAT relocate...do you put it in the air intake hose between the filter and air hat?
Thanks

Message: All you need to do is call summitracing.com
and ask for a set for the 318 you just have 2
extra wires, maybe by now they make the set for
the V6 all pre made wires just swap them out
1 at a time.
No I don't have the Stant # but here is the
CarQuest # that we use in these trucks 30208
180 degree, I test all the thermos before I
install them and these start to open about 182
and have had no probs with them at all.
Made by Stant.
Yes the air hose is the best place to put the IAT
K&N FIPK kits recomend putting it there and some
now come with provisions to relocate it there.
you may need to lengthin the wires but solder them
don't use conectors and it don't mater which wire
goes where its just a variable resistor that
changes resistance at differant temps and changes
the voltage sent to the computer.

Message: I put the msd super conductor wires on my 97 v6 dakota. I had to order them thru Schucks here in Washington State. The seI received was customed made for the v6. Here is the part number off of the box 32969. the box indicates this will fit 97 to 99 dakotas. I paid about a hundred bucks for the wires I was alittle shell shocked when I picked them up. Summit Racing maybe cheaper.
