Hello, I have a question for all of you I have a '96 Dakota Auto trans, with a 3.9L. Lately I will be going down the road at about 65 to 70 MPH when I will lightly let off the gas to slow down 2 or 3 MPH. When I let off the gas some, the truck will slam into drive in trade making the engine run at around 3,500 RPM. After this happening, I will not be able to get the vehicle back into overdrive until I stop and take off from a start again. I replaced the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and also changed fluid and filter again, but this has made no difference. I would appreciate any info on this and if anyone else has had the same problems. I have the model 42RE transmittion in this truck. Thanks
