Message: Larry,
When you post HP gains for this mod or that mod, do you have dyno slips or are you just guesstimating?

Message: No I don't guess they are actualy dyno runs
but I have droped over $6000 into the motor.
The dyno is owned by a racing team that we do all
the paint work on there trucks its nice and has
a giant fan in front of it computer controlled
to simulate the air flow you get on the road.
Ported heads
Mod intake manifold all port matched
including the headers she flows
48mm F&B 19# FMS matched and blueprinted
3.58 stroke, same as a 360
10 to 1 custom pistons
Custom Ground cam 268 272 with an effective lift
of .480 with the 1.7 rollers.
Ram air MSD Ignition
92 Mopar performance PCM with a 3 degree advance
on a relocated crank sensor.
Headers no cat, custom mandrel bent 2 1/2 Y pipe
into a reducer 2 1/2 to 3 than termanates to
2 1/2 after about 14" into a dynomax 11748 with
a factory 2 1/2 tail
and to many things to list
The time slip is from Union Grove 14.4 at 97
was the best of 3 runs

Message: Oh ya forgot, I also run a 1600 rpm torque
converter and have droped some 3.91 gears in
sure grip
The dyno I ran just about 2 weeks ago showed
265/305 at the wheels over my old 247/290
Got them from a bone yard, the whole rear end
and droped them in.
The racing team has 4 V6 with the 4.0 stroke
pulling over 300 ponies they race off road
only.

Message: Sounds like you're ready to dip into 13s on a cool evening, of course if you can find a way to hook.

Message: I don't know if it will ever be in the 13's but
your right this thing is like an old free air
snowmobile the colder it is the stronger it runs
Don't forget this is on a 95 4X4
If the average person did what I did to this motor
and had to pay the labor I would say they would be
spending way over $10,000
To me it was just a labor of love

Message: One thing Ive been wondering about. Did you get a 4x4 for this very reason? I was thinking this is the only way a 4x4 can justify its weight. During your runs you are in 4x4 right? Do you turn all four, or is it the limited 2?
