Message: Chrysler vehicles today are products of Germany-based DaimlerChrysler. Dodge is a Chrysler product. Which means NONE of you buy American. Maybe you all should start supporting OUR economy and trade your FOREIGN trucks in and get some AMERICAN MADE CHEVYS!!!!! The Z-71 is better than anything that has a Dodge lable on it.
And by the way..foreign-based carmakers such as Honda, Toyota, Nissan, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have opened factories in the United States and build both vehicles and parts—such as engines—on U.S. soil. So those rice-burners you make fun of are AMERICAN cars. No wonder they keep beating your butts in races, American is better than foreign. So the next time you decide to race a Honda and lose, understand that you lost to an AMERICAN car.
GOD BLESS AMERICA..LAND THAT I LOVE.....

Message: Before you start opening your pie hole about Dodge being "evil" because it's owned by a German company, if you can read, do some research on who Ford and GM is in bed with, and where they get their parts and subsystems. In today's economy, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 100% US MANUFACTURER. The last time that I looked Dodge's were also being built in the US, so, by your standards, they are also AMERICAN! Oh...in case you weren't aware, one of the ones you mentioned...Mercedes-Benz...is the parent company of Chrysler now. Last I heard, they made a pretty good vehicle. Come back when your stupidity isn't so obvious, or when you're off the crack and the cheap whiskey, like most Chevy drivers like to use...

Message: If you want to get a vehicle with bad reliability go with your silverado (dont call it a Z-71, thats just a package, not a truck), we like our Dakota's, the fact that they have some foreign influence in them is not a bad thing, from what I can see there is only good to come from the merger.

Message: Watch your mouth durtysanchez, Geo used to be the sh!t until Chevy badged it. The Metro, I've fantasized about one for years. 0-60 23sec, 50mpg. I had to settle for a Ford Aspire, 0-60 in 19 sec (haha, sub 20s) and 40mpg. Geo Metros ran forever (Ive heard) and made GMC lose money, so Chevy decided to start building them to get profit margins back up!!! Mopar rules

Message: First off Joe, dont give me a bad name. Ever since I sold my Z I wanted a Metro, until I came across a 95 Ford Aspire. I was thinking about a Colt, but they are very rare and I found the Ford for $1k. Ive hated ford since I was born, but the Aspire is actually a Kia, so I can drive it in Peace. I read many reviews on how the 3cylinder burns valves. I thought it was the Sh!t since it got 50-60mpg, but I get 40mpg w/Aspire and 19mpg with the Dakota. The Dodge Dakota is a beautiful well built machine, brought to us by the USA.
I think the only thing built in USA is foreigns like nissan and toyotas. I know chevy goes to Canada and ford goes to Mexico. I havent heard where Dodge goes, except nowhere.

Message: Umm..... I've had a '82 Datsun (By Nissan) truck on the ranch until I bought my 1st car, '84 Chebby Monza, Blew Tranny, Joined the Military and bought a '88 Hyundai Excel (Still running, ex-mother-in-law drives it still) '90 Ferd Ranger, traded in for a '94 Ferd Ranger (4-Banger JUNK), traded in for a '96 Chebby S-10 (blew tranny), Bought a '86 Dodge D50 (By Mitsubishi) 4x4 for fun until I blew the engine, a '98 Jeep Cherokee Laredo (My 1st NEW Vehicle until my 2nd wife flipped it)'98 Geo Metro Totalled when I hit a deer @45 mph, '94 Honduh Accord blew engine and currently my '93 Dak & a '96 Ferd Taurus (TowUs).
Of that list none have been more reliable than the Jeep. I have yet to work on any of them that uses all standard wrenches. Most trannies are made in Germany, Seatbelts in Mexico, and engines from Canada to Australia (4.0 I6). Seems that only engine components, Body Panels and assembly are done in the US anymore.
Go ahead, brag on your Chebby. I hope your not talking about a new Z71 Half Plastic/Half Tin truck built on a car frame for "Luxury" ride. Please take your "Truck" off-roading and then post pic's of the damage and what your repair bill was.
Me, I will hang on to my Dakota.
I don't care where the parts were made.

Message: I think Chevy is a good truck. My dad's 92 4x4 has been good for 175k miles. He had new valves or something in the engine and a new tranny. Tranny was my cousin's fault though, stupid azz tried shifting between rev and drive (w/o pausing)while stuck. Who cares about full size though? Who makes a midsize? A Dakota has the best of both worlds. A real backseat. Power and decent mpg. Not too expensive and built to last. So hahaha, be happy with your 4cyl s-10. I didnt get one because I probably cant fit in it (im only 6ft 190lbs), but Ive sat in one with a sub behind the seat, noway. An extended cab offers as much room as a reg cab Dakota. yet in a Dakota the ext cab is about the same size as a silverado.
Dont be jealous, if your ever in MS ill give you a ride to the dealership in my 92.
