 Subject: 93 MP ECU question

Part # 5249521 this is the mopar performance pcm correct? does it matter that I have an auto and this is for a 5spd and also mine is a 94 and this is a 93?

The 92-93 MP PCM works on autos and 5spds all the way up to 95. It works great in our 95 auto. I'd have to go look what the part number is on it.

Yes that is the 92 mopar performance PCM
I am running 1 on my 95 auto 4X4 with a stroked
3.9 and it runs my setup without a fuel controller
that I ran with the stock and the ASE.
I had ASE reprogram my chip and it still leaned
out around 3500 rpm but not with the mopar pcm.
and it showed 3 more RWHP on the dyno over the ASE

When I installed mine my shift points droped and
I needed to adjust the TV cable 1 notch.
Th O/D is affected by shifting at a higher speed
instead of 45 it will shift at 48 to 50 and with
a little throttle 55 to 60 which gives you less
boog when going into O/D lockup. Its better.
If you can get your hands on it I would because
they are getting hard to find.

thanks guys the auction ended today and I won. Shipped it will be 70.00 and if its not a MP its still a decent price on a spare ecu. But 99% sure it is a MP thanks for all your help

i have a 96 dodge dakota and i need a ecu that isnt 400 dollars. i have the last model made of 96 and there is only one computer for this truck does anyone know where i can find one???

Has anyone tried the Surge Performance Chips sold on WWW.yourhotcar.com ? I've searched for the Mopar performance ecm without luck. If anyone can recommend a good performance chip that doesn't cost $250, I'll try it.

I have a 1995 Dakota 3.9 automatic. Check engine light came on and it quit charging. Dodge dealer did a diagnostic and said it was the ECM and it would be $575. I had already checked alternator and it is charging. I have gotten 3 computers from parts yards, and a remanufactured one from an on line remanufacturer and the truck still will not charge. I need some advice on this, please help.
