Subject: IATrelocation and K&N IP: Logged
Message: Hey all,
I was thinking about getting the K&N 14" for my 94.
Can i still do the AIT move with it?
Maybe in the top of the hat or something?
If not should i just stick with the stock and get a K&N drop-in?
thanks

Message: There really isn't room to come in from the top. Depending on what height filter you use, you may not close your hood without hearing a thumping noise.
If you are going with a 14, drill in from the bottom. I went with an 11 (?, old age catching up) because the 14 was too wide and made contact with the firewall.

Message: I am running a 14 K&N with the exstream K&N top
but I moved my second IAT to the plastic peice
in the grill where the old intake tube came in,
I wired it to a switch in the cab so I could
switch between stock location or the grill mounted
IAT on the fly
On the 94 it will not hit the fire wall.
Remove the flap that is in front of were the old
intake tube comes in to allow more air under the
hood and it will work fine

Message: hey J and J Auto....blah on the scoop....lol...get a new hood hehe. I need to find the pic of the one i want..its $480 for the hood and is mad nice with BIG intakes on it. I bet it helps a lot though with air intake.
I have a 14in chrome edelbrock filter...works great.
