Subject: HELP! p0463 service code

Hello all,

I have a question about this code p0463. I looked the code up and it says there is high voltage on the fuel lever, don't really know how to fix this. I know the truck has been messing up a little. I have a 2000 dakota v6, and sometimes upon starting the truck the truck will stumble while idleing just until reaching warmup temp. The fuel gauge inside has been messing up sometimes when starting, either the fuel gauge will read nothing (down below E) and then when stopping the engine and starting it back up it will go up to the fuel level. <-- Doesn't do this everytime, maybe only happened 4 times in the past week. Confusing.... Is it something inside the fuel tank, maybe a sending unit??? Any help would be nice, thanks...

P0463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input

First check all the connections on the wires by
the tank and follow them back towards the motor
and check all connections.

Be sure to check the wires that run to ground also

Replace the sending unit if this does not cure
the problem
