It will probably be slower because the cops will be pulling you over every block or so.
It would definatly flow better but I think noise would be an issue.

dont worry, it wont be too loud for cops...i have heard a dak with a 318 and straight pipes and it still wasnt louder than my dad's cummins diesel, but 2 1/2 should be good, it will keep your torque up and allow much better flow, provided it is kept as a single exhaust and not dual 2 1/2s

yea i just got it done and it is not that loud and it sounds good yea and i didn't lose any low end but i ganed top end a must have 4 a v6
