Does anyone know of a way to make a stock 2002 Dokata quieter? I've outgrown ly "loud" days and wouild like to try and eliminate some of the engine and exhaust noise in my 2002.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
RM

your stock exhaust is loud? well, you could throw on another muffler....but that might hurt your mpgs...a lot of cars come with a second, but smaller muffler (like a glasspack) between the main muffler and catalytic convertor.

Thanks for the advice. I damaged my hearing a while back and am "extra sensitive" to noise... my goal would be to have a completly silent truck! : ) Probably not gonna happen.

What about aftermarket exhaust systems? have you ever heard of any that are designed to be quieter than stock systems? it seems like everything is louder these days.

thanks

You could buy the underhood pad that used to come on the trucks. My wife and I both have dakotas she has a 6 and I have the 4.7 v8. I don't notice a lot of noise from her truck unlike mine. Both are stock. Perhaps a different muffler would help.

Dealers should have them. A wreck should have one also if you look in a junk yard. Should be the same as the Durango.
