Kind of a funny story in how this all happened. I saw an infomercial late night about a month ago for the "pop-a-dent",it was $19.95 with a bottle of scratch remover included, so I figured what the heck and ordered one since in the past I have had a few annoying dings.
My 02 Dakota SXT is gonna hit it's first birthday in my possession since I bought it new on August 19th, hadn't had a ding in it yet. I received the pops-a-dent 3 days ago since they were on back order. Just last evening we were at a bar, and my sister was parked beside me. My wife opened the door of the truck on the passenger side and it slipped out of her hands and hit the mirror on my sister's car, no damage to her mirror but I got left with one of those annoying little dings and my truck's first.
Tried the pops-a-dent today, worked rather well, can still see the smallest remnant of a ding but very hard to see. So if anyone wants to try that pops-a-dent out for $20, it definitely does help in these kind of situations! But if you look at it another way, maybe if I wouldn't have ordered it I would never have jinxed myself into getting a ding!

Not saying it's not a good device,,just what I saw....
I saw an expose a while back on those 'pop-a-dent' things. They showed they didn't work very well at all, and over half time left additional dents from the suction cups.

Yeah I was worried about how it would work too, but since I already had a ding there, figured it could not hurt. I was shocked at how well it worked, and after using the tool that came with it yesterday to tap down the high spots, I got it looking like the ding was never there. Oh yeah, the scratch remover helped greatly as well. If I had a digital cam I would have taken a before and after. Basically went from an eyesore to nothing, a couple of my buddies had to look real hard to find where it was.
Anyway, hoping I don't need to use it again anytime soon!
